Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis and Bob Hope caught off guard
Smooth-talking, hard-drinking Dean Martin was born 1917 and was an established night-club singer before entering into a successful partnership with comedian Jerry Lewis. Starred in "Oceans Eleven" (1960) and was a key member of the Rat Pack.
Jerry Lewis, comedian, actor writer and director was famous for his rubber-faced, often juvenile characters, which earned him a place in the entertainment industry as one of the greatest physical comics of all time. Starred in the film " The Nutty Professor" and "Bell Boy", he was awarded a French Legion of Honour in 1984. Bob Hope however was in a rare and sombre mood with his friends.
